Statistics: Russia’s metals output rises by 4.8% in April
MOSCOW, May 31 (PRIME) -- Russia’s combined production of metals and metals products grew by 4.8% on the year and fell 6.7% on the month in April, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on Wednesday.
Production of cast iron went up by 8% on the year to 4.7 million tonnes, while the output of unalloyed steel grew by 2.8% to 5.12 million tonnes, of alloyed steel grew by 13.4% to 1.43 million tonnes.
Primary aluminum output grew 7.5% on the year.
